Rusland Pool Hotel

Great base to explore the Lake District. Hosts were very welcoming and accomodating. Site and food were great.

Came up for a wedding g stayed 2 nights. Lovely friendly place, great staff, decent food, clean and comfortable rooms and a great vibe. Would highly recommend

Old rustic pub restaurant. Building a bit tired and dated. Staff very welcoming. Food excellent

The hotel was clean and tidy, and the food and service was excellent, but I was charged for a double room which was in fact a 3/4 bed with only 3 very uncomfortable pillows, shower pressure very poor, and the bathroom could benefit from some form of shelving or cabinet

We only stayed one night but could not fault anything. Comfy room with everything you need. Had a meal in the restaurant in the evening which was exceptional. Staff extremely friendly.

The food was good and a great selection. Being vegetarian was very easy and being vegan would have also been very easy. Unfortunately the maid changed our towels without our request which was a little annoying. Tea and coffe in the room and sometimes biscuits! The room was a bit in need if re decorating and not really worth the money. Cant fault the staff 😊

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel and it won't be the last. From booking to checking out, the staff could not have been nicer. The rooms were very good and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. We were particularly impressed at how they endeavoured in every way to ensure our stay was 100% Covid-19 safe. The staff are fully committed to making sure none of their guests contracts Covid-19 during their stay whether they be rrsidents or non-residents.

We stayed here previously and had a lovely room, but this time I found our room in the annex to be quite small, dingy and smelling fusty. It was partucularly dark once the curtains were drawn, having only light above the bedhead. It was clean as was the bathroom, which was much lighter, but I was unable to turn the shower on as it appeared to be jammed. I wonder if perhaps it had not been used very much before our visit. The breakfast was really good.
