Pre arrival were asked to complete a check in document. This did not state if you required breakfast you needed to book a slot. By the time we checked in only the early slots were available. Considering breakfast was charged at £10.95 per person I was dismayed to only be offered to eat the choice of either a box of cereals and yogurt OR a cooked breakfast, Being in the trade, I know the costing of of the cereals etc and when asked if we could have both, were told it was because they were limiting the time in the breakfast room. We could have eaten the cereals whilst waiting for the cooked breakfast. Understanding the impact of Covid I still found this price to be very expensive. The communal areas were looking a bit tired. And the room that also doubled for the evening meals could have been cleaned better.. I was not aware that there was not a lift to the second floor. Would I stay again, probably yes, but I would want to pay a lot less per night.

Friendly & efficient staff, good location to explore the area around Windermere

A reasonable overnight stay. Bit noisy with the main road but that was expected. Room was OK. Dinner was in a room/corridor used by incoming guests and away from the main eating area - felt a bit tucked away. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was excellent.

This is a great base for exploring the southern and western side of the lakes. Rooms are spread over the inn, and a bungalow annexe. The rooms were faultless, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. A little bit of noise from the road in front but not enough to disturb sleep, especially as the mattress is so good. Excellent cooked breakfast in the morning, friendly and helpful staff, not taken for granted on what must have been the busiest weekend in 18 months or more

Comfortable room and pleasant and attentive staff. Good centre to access many beautiful walking and wildlife areas away from the lake district hotpots.

Excellent hotel

It was completely wonderful, perfect in every way. As a lone female business traveller and especially in these very trying Covid tunes to have everything you need under one roof is fantastic. Room was fantastic , bathroom also finished to a high standard, just like being at home. The fact the dining room was open was absolutely fantastic and I’m not quite sure why the larger chain hotels have theirs closed ?? Anyhow so impressed was I I am Booking the Rusland Pool hotel again wk before Xmas as a treat for me and hubby as I think it will be magical That time of year .
