The general maintenance and cleanliness of the place. A good clean up could be done. The windows in the bedrooms are dirty the windows between the Outside eating area and the main venue are dirty. Our room was nice but the walls could be painted there are brown water marks down the wall. The shower glass could be cleaned as could the bathroom window. The communal toilets, basins were dirty, no toilet paper in either the men or woman's bathrooms. Dirt bins overflowing in ladies toilets. Our room was not made up and nothing replenished ie the water or tea. The place needs a good clean up and the staff need to be managed. The staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed there last year and there was a noticeable deterioration in cleanliness since then. Its a pity as the location is great. Really hope they can do a cleanup and some maintenance on the hotel!

Food has a lot to be desired. Very basic with poor repertoire in the chef. Good wholesome breakfast, that was that. Even though the staff were helpful and friendly, hardly anyone on hand when necessary. There was an afternoon when there was NO STAFF at all anywherein the house from 5( when i came down after a nap for a cup of tea) to 6.30 on 7 th december.. left to our own resources. I went around to turn on lights where ever i could as it got dark pretty early. I could think of many emergencies occurring including medical for oldies like myself as well as fire... This was totally unacceptably irresponsible act of neglect on their part that out a black mark on their reputation. It truly put me off the setting for any further stay there.

We loved the place.You feel you are back in time with all the memorabilia.Lovely clean rooms and brilliant beds.The staff were fantastic and always accommodating.Staff very attentive and accessible.Breakfast was lovely catering for all needs. This is a great place in the middle of all the activities in bazaar road.Totally recommend it.We have stayed twice now.

Everything was brilliant.If I had to criticise anything it would be a bit of a clean around the pool area However I still enjoyed my swim.The pool itself was clean.
