Beautiful place, good price, lovely host, quiet. I would recommend this place.

This “hotel” is poor value for money. It’s not worth for what they’re charging. The hosts didn’t speak any English - and they were unfriendly. My bf spoke to them in Spanish to ask for recommendations for restaurants and activities, but they showed no interest or kindness. The room has no isolation and also no window you can open so it’s very hot and humid inside, especially during the night. The airco works only on the highest setting and blows directly onto the bed. The room is small and it has max 12-14m2, not 20m2 as advertised. The location - it’s 15min from the centre so not great. For me this was the most uncomfortable experience in Mexico. Also keep in mind they charge you about 9-10% extra when you arrive on top of the booking for “local taxes”. We’ve had that once before in Mexico but this was the only other place that charged that extra.

Hosts were very friendly,kind and helpful. Room on top floor had a terrace with table and chairs. Location was close to public access to the lagoon and 15 minutes walk to town. Parking was on the street but safe. 5 mins walk to grocery store. Property was quiet.

Shared kitchen was short of knives, and could do with a refresh, though still functional. Towels in the room are getting old, possibly need replacing.

The room was very clean, cosy and had all the necessities: soap, a hairdryer, towels (also a beach towel on request), AC, ventilator, wifi, hot water and even potable water. The hosting family is absolutely lovely and welcoming, and even with my (close to) non-existent Spanish skills, I was able to communicate with no problems. It‘s in a very quiet place directly accross from the lagoon, yet only a 2 minute walk to bathing places, a 15 minutes walk to the city center, 10 minutes to a variety of water sport places and 25 minutes from the ADO station. Cherry on top: very cute dog! I only regret not being able to stay longer. Muchos gracias!

Comfortable and quiet hotel with the laguna views, not that far from the city main square (15 min by foot). The owners are welcoming and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are big enough, cleaned every day. Really good value for money.

Nice place to stay, a little away from the centre of Bacalar but close enough to walk there in ~15 mins (I liked this, although others may not). Clean, comfortable, with a very cute dog.

I needed to do an early check out (although I only realised the night before) - I wasn't sure what the instructions were (you need a key to unlock and lock the front gate) so having info on that in the rooms would be useful.

The property has a great location close to public bathing area for sunrise and bathing. Restaurants nearby. Cute place. Great kitchen. Lovely hosts.
