Saubere Unterkunft

Dame an der Rezeption war grundlos wahnsinnig unfreundlich. So unfreundlich, dass wir unseren Aufenthalt leider trotz recht guter Unterkunft nicht geniessen konnten.

Location was great and one of few with available parking near Old San Juan.

The check in process was a little confusing as there were several names associated with the office.

Air conditioning was fundamental and it never failed, even in power outages. Free parking was useful. Near cafes are good for breakfast.

Would have liked a king size bed, and there was only one night stand in the main bedroom, we had to use a chair as the second night stand.

La ventana de la habitación pequeña estaba rota y no tiene cortinas, así que por la noche entra la luz de la escalera. Es muy molesto. Tuve que tapar la ventana con bolsas de basura para que el aire acondicionado no se saliera de la habitación, y para que la luz y la lluvia no entrara.

The staff were very helpful we needed to change our room as there is stair access only. It was done very efficiently. The buildings are part of an urban renewal programme and are well designed and refurbished. They area has a shop and bar across the road a park with two pop up bar/food outlets and best of all Misfits a popup Hot Dog stand which is really tasty. Very buzzy local area and easy to get to historic area and sea.

After dark the area around is very quiet with a lot of deriliction you might want to use a Taxi late at night.

Staff was very friendly at check-in, even received a welcome beer! There was a little co working space downstairs with free coffee.

We didn’t get the unit we had booked. Equipment was the same but the layout was different. Overall, pictures online looked way more welcoming, the apartment had the bare minimum. Bedrooms consist of bed, bedside table and an ikea hanger on a rack. No hooks or tables/chairs to put your stuff on. No A/C in the main area and despite having the bedroom‘s ACs running, it got very stuffy. „Rooftop“ doesn’t deserve the name, it’s an empty roof that you can climb up to if you want to take the narrowest stairs on the planet. Not really clean up there either, so not really an added value. This was the most expensive stay during our trip and not really worth it.

I came with my friend to Puerto Rico and Digital Nomad San Augustin was a perfect solution to our needs. The apartment we had was spacious, the bathroom of decent size and the shower well functioning with hot water when needed. The Wifi was working decently and the staff member we met upon arrival was very kind and helpful despite that we arrived after 1am. The place is next to a traditional bakery and close to the old city of San Juan where we would get our snacks and meals. You can reach anything else by Uber. Overall, great experience, value for money and we'd come again :)
