Shorena and her family were friendly and kind and her guesthouse is right on the main road as you come into town from Mestia. If you need anything, just ask - they are happy to make sure you are comfortable. My room was sweet and cozy with a window overlooking the backyard and trees. Hammocks and a swinging wicker chair are arranged comfortably in the backyard and I enjoyed laying in a hammock and catching the last warm rays of the sun before dinner. Dinner was delicious and ample. You will not leave the table hungry! There is also a nice sitting area outside where you can have your meals, if you prefer. I was happy to dine in Shorena's kitchen near the fire burning stove. :-) The bathroom was clean and there were some shared toiletries. It was chilly at night and Shorena was kind to provide me with a small heater. It quickly warmed the room. The bed was very comfortable with soft sheets and a mattress topper. Breakfast had a nice variety of foods and Shorena gave me a bag and told me to pack up whatever I wanted to take for lunch (no charge). I also appreciated having the softer white toilet paper instead of the gray, scratchy paper that most guesthouses provide. It is these kinds of considerate touches that elevate one guesthouse from the others. Shorena's guesthouse felt as though the comfort of guests is a priority - not the money. I def recommend this place and would be happy to return. Thank you Shorena and family!!!

I'm not a big fan of bathrooms where the shower water goes all over the floor, but it's not uncommon in Georgia. Having a way to wipe the water from the floor so the floor can more quickly dry after a shower would be great. This is about the only negative I can mention, but again, this is the norm- particularly in this part of Georgia. You just get used to it - no problem, really.

My favourite village of the trek and my favourite homestay of the trek. Shorena is a lovely lady and the family are really welcoming, fun and friendly. Her food was the best I had. Very traditional. I've been in Georgia for 6 weeks but her Kubdari was the best I ate as was her Ostri stew. She gave us loads of food. When we ate the bog bowl of Ostri stew she filled it up. Best of all, was after dinner, chilling in the hammock as full as a whale, looking at the view as the sun sets. Just awesome This is why the alternative route is amazing. Tsvirmi still has a traditional quality about it and it's very quiet. Not many tourists at all. In fact we seemed to be the only ones around that night. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants great food, great hospitality and great views from the garden.

The dinner was excellent with lots of different Georgian dishes, accompanied with white wine, for 30 GEL. Shorena can cook! Nice village with cows and pigs in the streets.

The host was super nice and also provided nice paid dinner and free breakfast! My room was cozy with a big bed, and in the morning, when i opened the window, i can see the mountain with snow, as well as the big farm! I enjoyed my stay!
