Architect Mews Cottage, near Mill Road Cambridge

This is our second time staying at 1A Emery Road. Last time, I believe it was managed by AirBnB. The annex is well set up for a couple, with high end finishes and comfortable beds, chairs, and sofa. There is lots of cooking equipment and even some spices, tea, coffee, and cooking oils and sauces. A very nice set up.

When we stayed at the suite this year, we noticed that the dishes and cooking equipment wasn’t very clean, to the point that we had to rewash everything in the cupboard before we could use it. Also the kitchen and suite in general could use a deep clean. It looks like someone is changing the linens and doing a very basic clean between occupants.

Stylish, cosy, newly built apartment with all the facilities one may wish.

Cleaning was somehow disappointing, not the same standard of the apartment

Location

This is a perfect place to stay in all respects. Central location in a street full of diverse restaurants and cafes, supermarkets and more. Plenty of places to walk to close by - Mill Rd cemetery is lovely and all the buzz of the city centre near. It's close to the railway station and the area is also full of small pubs with good beers. The property is well designed with everything provided, great use of space, soundproofed and really comfortable. Agents provide information and care with privacy and without scrutiny. We have stayed in hundreds of properties and this is one of the top.

Staircases may be difficult for people with poorer mobility. The heat recovery ventilation system noise is quite invasive.

Location was excellent and it had everything we needed.

Beautiful apartment. Well planned and comfortable. Clean and beautifully maintained. It was a joy to stay here.

Nothing major, just some small things which would have been the icing on the cake. A cafetiere would have been good to have. Tissues and kitchen roll would have been useful as would oven gloves.

Would have been nice to have some milk and coffee possibly but loved every about the place

Ingeniously designed apartment which was clean and comfortable- spacious inside/bed was comfortable and plenty of fluffy white towels- lovely bathroom and quality appliances in kitchen

Would have appreciated just a few provisions ie milk on arrival to make a tea/coffee after a long journey
