Cinnamon Wild Yala

Bereits im Hotel trifft man auf viele Tiere! Schöne Poolanlage. Essen im Hotel ebenfalls sehr gut! Zimmer schön und gross. Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Alles war top!

Rooms were very comfortable and had everything you would need. Food in the main restaurant was lovely and huge selection of food within the buffet. All the staff were very good Danesh our waiter was great! Our guide of the Safari tour Rohan was amazing so knowledgeable he really made our experience, he took us on 2 safaris, star gazing and on a walking safari - it was so nice to have the same guide for all of our trips!

This place was fab if there was anything I would say was that the staff rushed through everything when we arrived so we wasn’t sure, where to go for dinner/lunch and we had to find our own way around.

Beim spazieren ausserhalb des Hotels wurden wir immer aufgehalten vom Sicherheitspersonal.Es sei gefährlich wegen den Wildtiere.Dabei ist es so schön einwenig an der Beach zu sein.

Wonderful staff! and Great Location

We had a great time staying at Cinnamon Wild Yala. Sorrounded by nature at the edge of Yala Nationalpark, it is a special experience. We saw an elephant and crocodiles among other animals on the property. The rooms are very nice and clean. Buffet for breakfast and dinner was amazing! Apart from that, all were super helpful and welcoming. We want to specifically mention Nuwan and Saman, which are doing an exceptional job = passion as all the others, too!

No option for people that prefer to freely move or run around the property. You basically cannot leave it for a walk or run.

Fantastic location for a Yala safari (and indeed to see wildlife from itself - we saw a crocodile, elephant and buffalo in the lake on the property, along with plenty of monkeys by the pool). In terms of the safari itself, I was able to book via email before arrival with no issues. Imesh from the Safari Team was also an excellent guide during our Block 5 trip - interesting and informative. Good buffets for breakfast and dinner - good veggie options at dinner which isn’t always the case with a buffet. Room was clean and had everything we needed - and a nice touch from Nuwan with the towel elephant!

Could perhaps have been better veggie options to order from the bar at lunchtime. In the long term, a gym might be a good addition.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The setting is incredible. You are fully immersed in nature and it feels very unique compared to other hotels. We saw crocodiles, deer, water buffalo, eagles, herons, rabbits, lizards, and monkeys all within the hotel grounds. Because of the wildlife, the hotel takes safety seriously. Staff escort you around at night which we really appreciated. It made us feel very safe and well looked after. The location is beautiful, positioned between the ocean and a lake. The ocean is too rough to swim in but it is stunning to walk along and take in. The staff were exceptional and genuinely friendly. One staff member told me he had been working there for 23 years which says a lot about the place. The young man at the pasta station was also fantastic. He clearly takes pride in what he does and made an excellent pasta dish for me. Dinner had a great variety and was very enjoyable. We had an early safari and missed breakfast, but the hotel prepared large breakfast boxes for us to take which was a very thoughtful touch. The pool area is lovely and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The whole stay felt peaceful, safe, and very well managed.

There is very little to fault. The only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is quite remote given its location near the national park. There are no shops or much happening nearby, so it is better suited to a shorter stay or for those specifically wanting a quiet, nature-focused experience. This was perfect for us.
