Casa Memo

Casa Memo is in a great location with beautiful views. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for our stay.

The only challenge was the check-in process — it required quite a bit of follow-up and messaging on WhatsApp to get the necessary information.

It would have been lovely to have a bath mat AND a hand towel but I got by 😊

Location is amazing and the views from the windows were beautiful.

The WiFi didn't work, so I had to use my phone's data. Also, since there was no WiFi, we couldn't watch Netflix, only Italian TV.

Location is great. Right on the piazza across from the breakwater. But that is all that is good about this place.

Host provided zero service. Would not answer calls when we arrived as we did not have access codes to enter room. Five unanswered calls from us as well as emails and messages on the booking app yeilded no response. Luckily a local was able to track her down and after 3 hours of trying, we got a response - no apology just the code. In th apartment there are no instructions on how to use anything and we could not get stove to work. The room was cold and we did not have adequate bedding - Thankfully we did find a single bed duvet with no cover. Wi-Fi did not work. Yes there is WI-FI but no internet. Host was not interested in addressing this issue when I contacted her.

Great location and great size.

It would have been good to have a kettle.

The most splendid view you can imagine. Spotlessly clean. Large apartment with three beds. No pictures of kitchen or bathroom and was a little worried but very modern, clean and excellent (except a noise in the pipes when flushing the toilets). We sat in the windows watching the sea and the village life. One of the best places we have stayed. Would definitely come back.

For us nothing. If you have problems walking the big steps in the stair could be a problem. No problems for us though. If you are sensitive for sound it could be a problem living next to a church bell and the whining in the pipes. We thought it was picturesque. A door in one of the kitchen cupboards was not bolted.

Excellent location right on the square next to church with beautiful view of the harbour. Great communication with host. Comfortable stay for family if 3. Very large bathroom. Clean and comfortable Would stay here again.

Nothing all very good

The location is excellent, right down in the harbour with great views. The apartment was more spacious than I thought and was comfortable for 2 nights stay.

The communication from the host I felt lacking. I had emailed and messaged her various times and didn’t receive any reply or acknowledgement which was stressful as we started to worry if the booking was ok. Particularly worrying as we needed to receive a message to confirm the key entry, and instructions how to find the accomodation. as I don’t receive email on my phone I had message twice before our arrival to say please text it to me. It was only the intervention of the hotel receptionist where we stayed prior to our stay who kindly phoned the host (we had also telephoned the host twice before and no reply). The host called back and apologised, citing family illness, which we were sorry to hear, but equally if you are letting out accomodation it only takes 2 minutes to message a guest and/or reply and acknowledge their messages. When the host did message us on What’s App the instructions were concise and clear and we found the accomodation no problem. We feel that a kettle should be provided in the accomodation in order to make hot drinks. There was an empty box which had contained a kettle in the cupboard, but no kettle, it was a nuisance having to boil pans of water.

The location of this apartment is just perfect for a stay in the Cinque Terre. It is right next to the church in Vernazza harbour, overlooking the main piazza. Restaurants and bars are just below, as well the docks for all the boating excursions. The room had a full kitchen, and great Wifi and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also very large and fully stocked with everything we needed. We loved this place.

Vernazza is a very "vertical" town, and this apartment is built at the top of some very steep stairs. Do not bring tons of luggage with you, or you will be sorry when going up the stairs. Just the same, we loved this place.
