It was clean and comfortable. A quiet location.

There was parking obviously available but we weren't allowed to use it. We struggled to find a safe place to park on a busy road.

Spotlessly clean. Precisely as described. A very comfortable bed. Plenty of space for unpacking, with hooks, drawers, cupboards, cabinets, etc. Good, bright natural light. An airy, comfortable base for a short stay. Well located for ease of access to anywhere on the peninsula. Despite The Annex being a literal part of the host’s house we enjoyed complete privacy. And the inclusion of an outdoor area, secluded and separate from the host’s own garden was a real plus.

This review is made at a time that is very obviously only a short time after the host’s first foray into offering their home (or part of it) out to guests, so these ‘cons’ are intended to be constructive and in no way have any of them impaired the total enjoyment of our stay. Although there is no actual ‘kitchen’ to speak of, the addition of a microwave wouldn’t be much of a stretch and would make for some convenience for guests. The addition of some washing-up liquid and a tea-towel could save the hosts some unnecessary extra work after guest departures, as I’m sure (like ourselves) guests would be only too willing to tidy after themselves! A small bin in the en suite would have saved a couple of trips through to the only bin with some ‘discreet’ waste. These are tiny mentions and are barely issues themselves, and should bear no reflection on how otherwise perfect the hosts have made what they have offered from the get go.
