love the breakfast they provided. homemade bread and yogurt unlimited bread :) The owner is super friendly, informative and helpful free private indoor onsen we really enjoy the stay

Ai & her staff were so lovely & accommodating, there wasn't anything that they wouldn't be able to help with. Breakfast was delicious! They even gave us a lift to Nozawa Onsen at the end of our stay. It was located conveniently in between two different lift locations & has a great drying room. Thanks so much for having us Ai!

There is a bar across the street that has recently opened, people congregate outside and can be quite loud - not a reflection on the accommodation itself, just bring ear plugs ☺️

What a great small place to stay with our amazing thoughtful host Ai. Mugi who was helping ai, was such a beautiful human being too. They were kind, cool and were so wanting to please us. Perfect location to bars & restaurants but even better to get to both lifts. No major uphill walks with your gear. I didn't want to leave!

Nothing, I liked everything.

Superb location, excellent breakfast and super hosts. Ai and Mugi could not do enough for us. They made everything so easy including regular drop offs and pick ups to the surrounding ski resorts.....amazing. They even organised and catered for a dinner for all of the guests to share.

The onsen baths onsite are good however they are in need of renovation.

Ai San and her staff were very accommodating. They picked me and dropped me off at the train station. Ai San prepared a nice breakfast for me and even allowed me to come back and use the onsen after check out when I finished snowboarding. She also took me to Yamato depot to mail my board bag to Tokyo on the way to the station. She goes out of her way to make you feel at home. The rooms are large, warm, and clean. There are 2 onsens and only 3 rooms so at least one onsen is almost guaranteed to be available. The location is great too, right in the center of town. Many restaurants, cafes and bars within a few minutes walk. I look forward to coming back.

Absolutely awesome place to stay, close to everything and the host Ai is fantastic- nothing was too hard and also the best cook. We loved staying so much we will definitely be back again.

We had a wonderful time at Baco Myoko. Ai, is the most amazing host. She is thoughtful, generous, and made us feel like family. She went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. She cooked delicious breakfast every morning, cooked us a traditional Japanese dinner on two of our nights there, took us to the fire festival in Nozawa Onsen and went skiing with us a couple of times. The location is perfect - right on the main street with easy access to restaurants, bars and slopes! Bedroom was spacious and we loved the onsens! Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay with a amazing host where nothing is too much trouble. A great location in town also. Would definitely return again. Can highly recommend.

Staying at Baco Myoko was like staying at a good friend's home. Aichan was the best host and so attentive to our every need. The room was spacious, warm, and the beds were comfortable. Ai picked us up/dropped us off at the train station, made us a delicious homemade breakfast and coffee every morning, and offered to make us dinner (we took her up on it for one night and it was delicious and much more affordable than eating out). We enjoyed chatting with Ai over meals and she was so kind to our 2-year old son that we felt like old friends by the end of the week. I usually prefer a private, ensuite bathroom and toilet, but there are only 3 guest rooms at the property and the onsen rooms could be locked for privacy, so it was just as good as private.

The only thing I would call out is that it is an old building and the walls / doors are very thin, so it can be noisy. We were there on New year's eve trying to sleep with a toddler. It seems to be a pretty quiet town, so it may have just been the holiday week and you would have the same issue everywhere.
