Beck Hall

The food was really lovely. The hotel lounge & restaurant was really nice & the garden is lovely too. The people who worked there were very friendly & nice. The location is spectacular & the setting by the river is gorgeous..

It was January & there was snow everywhere outside & our room was cold & the bathroom freezing. We did not have control of the heating & had to phone reception who could control it (certainly the bathroom towel rail) from there. We had paid extra for a 'superior' room but it was not nice at all & we felt the price was extremely high for what it was (e.g. there were holes in the pillow slips, shelf brackets without a shelf, general poor decor & the 'riverside view' meant that people were continually walking past our door where the 'view' was). We were given a small discount in the morning when we told them it had been cold which was very nice. The food was really nice & the communal areas in the hotel are really nice too. The location is exceptional.

Beautiful, cosy hotel set in an idyllic location. The food is absolutely superb and the staff were wonderful. We can't wait to come and stay again!

Not one single negative thing to say about our stay!

We loved everything about Beck Hall and the setting is picture perfect! The staff were wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Linda is one in a million and made our stay even more enjoyable. She made us feel like family not guests. Our room was amazing. It had everything we needed including tons of historic features. The food at Beck Hall is out of this world. So delicious and lots of choices. We would highly recommend booking a stay at Beck Hall, we absolutely love our stay and just wished we could have stayed longer.

Came mostly for the food, second time here, first time since the transition to vegan - we had the Sunday roast, breakfast and afternoon tea - all fantastic, really loved all the food especially enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding!

Perhaps just personal taste but I found the Beef seitan quite salty, a bit too much for me though my partner enjoyed it so each to their own!

Breakfast was interesting and delicious. The location is stunning beside the beck and so near to wonderful beauty spots.

Only slight problem was the lovely towel rail in the en-suite didn’t come on when needed and it was very cold weather. It was probably a temporary problem and the rest of the hotel and room was toastie warm.
