Very quiet area with 2 pubs (one opened at weekend only)

Light made rooms quite dark, could not find a hairdryer and pillows were not in very good condition

Very pleasant and comfortable, no garden but not needed

This property is NOT in Bakewell despite being advertised as such. It is comically hard to get an answer from the host, he takes about 14hrs to get back you. Not very helpful if you're driving round Bakewell in a state of confusion because you booked a house in Bakewell, but the postcode is closer to Matlock. There wasn't enough bedding for the 3 of us. The shower leaks onto the carpet in the bedroom. The sink is ridiculously small in the toilet. It is implausibly hard to find the place even when you're in the right village because there is no name on the door. There is an "outside" space, which is about as big as a door mat. The cupboard smells like a dead rat came back to life in it and died again. The sofa bed is only 5'3" long. You can't use one of the chairs for the table because it is stuck up against some steps. Honestly, it's as if someone has designed the place just to be annoying and insane and needless difficult.
