Very clean room, peaceful gardens and good base for seeing Dambulla temple and Sigiriya rock.

A perfect place to relax after touring the area. The room was very clean with A/C , moscito nets and enough towels. The staff was super friendly and helpful with arranging for tours, transportation and getting to and on the right bus. Meals were good and the beautiful and well kept garden is nice to relax since there are several nice sitting areas. The location is quiet but walking distance (ca. 10 min) to the main road.

We traveled with our little daughter, who really enjoyed it. The accommodation is small but perfectly sufficient. It is located in beautiful nature, where you wake up to the sound of peacocks and other birds. The surroundings are stunning, and the breakfast area is lovely. We recommend trying their traditional sweet Sri Lankan breakfast. It is definitely ideal for a family with children. The location is perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the city. The owner is great and helpful; he offered tuk-tuk rides to and from the city and also assisted with getting on the bus to Kandy. Thank you!

Beautiful styled and laid out rooms. The owners were warm and friendly. The grounds are really pretty with lots of different areas to spend time. We particularly liked the terrace outside each room.

Villa Hanguk is an ideal spot if you plan to explore the Dambulla area. The owner is incredibly helpful, offering assistance with scooter or tuk-tuk rentals and organizing local trips. The villa is nestled just 400 meters from the main city street, surrounded by lush paddy fields. The beautifully maintained garden is filled with vibrant plants and flowers, offering plenty of cozy spots to relax—whether in a hammock, at a dining area, or playing table games. Being in the middle of nature, you can expect the delightful sounds of wildlife, including peacocks. It truly adds to the charm of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sri Lankan food. The meals were not only delicious but also generously portioned. I highly recommend skipping outside restaurants and instead asking the staff to prepare dinner for you—you won’t be disappointed!
