Apartment in Barnard Castle

The apartment was very modern and perfect for our needs. A short walk to the castle and all the main shops.

Nothing not to like. This apartment is ideal for 2 people but may be too small for more people.

Had everything you needed for a one night stay, any longer I think it’s a little small and compact

The blinds in the living room only covered half of the window, sofa bed which was in the living room was not easy to asssemble and very uncomfortable. Hosts not very accommodating regarding check in and check out times when explaining travelling a far distance to get there for a wedding.

More info to be provided re parking facilities I arrived in the dark and had to search for nearby parking.

The locations and the cleanliness

The sofa bed mattress was very uncomfortable and would have been handy for the sofa bed to have been prepared seeing as they know it was booked for 4 people and were going to be arriving late after a wedding.

we visited during a cold weather period and the apartment took a very long time to become warm, maybe if the heating was on a little longer ahead of arrival it would have helped. It was absolutely fine after the first night though.

The apartment was exceptionally clean. Shower was amazing! Lovely touch with the fresh milk in fridge and tea and sugar. Layout of the apartment was great! Close to village, where the pubs were great, very historic with the castle nearby.
