Apartment in Barnard Castle

Perfect little space. Well equipped and in an idyllic location.

It was lovely and clean and compact, had everything we needed.

The tap in the bathroom sink was a bit too powerful for such a small sink,got soaked a few times. The white bench tops were a worry as we had an Indian takeaway and were worried about staining.

The shower was a waste of time it was just a trickle. Other people had commented about the shower in the comments book. They need to sort it out, it spoilt our stay.

Location was very central. Very nicely decorated.

Firstly, the sofa bed was so uncomfortable and the light in the morning made it impossible to sleep past 7am. Secondly, the shower was similar to a pitiful light rain shower. And finally, providing a family of 4 not even a quarter of a toilet roll was really rather bleak!

Beautiful apartment in a great location, it was perfect for our family of three. It's so close to the tranquil river and even closer to loads of great foodie places.

The only negative, point is that there aren't proper curtains/blinds in the main room so if someone is sleeping on the sofa bed you'll be awake super early with the sun! It's also a shame that only one window opens in the main room and none in the bedroom, the skylights are impossible to open
