CZAmazing tour around the villages with a great guide! Nice staff, comfy beds, good breakfast!
No free water
GBI had a great experience at Nini Homestay, especially considering the incredibly affordable price. I was lucky enough to have a room with a balcony, and the view was absolutely stunning. For the price, I was really impressed! The room itself was simple but comfortable, with a large double bed, a hairdryer, and a wet room with a shower. Everything was clean and functional, though definitely basic. It was a perfect spot to relax and reset after completing the Ha Giang Loop, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere. I visited in May, so it was a peaceful time to be there, though it wasn’t particularly social. The staff were lovely and really went out of their way to help: especially with booking my next stay at a discounted rate since they knew the owner. A nice touch was the staff offering to do my laundry and even weighing it after to ensure I paid less, since my swimsuit was wet. The homestay has a relaxed vibe, and I liked that they let you pay for everything at the end.
The rooms are basic, but for the price, it’s great value. The location is on a hill, so there’s a steep walk back up, but everything is close by. The only downside is that there’s no air conditioning, so I’m not sure what it would be like during the hotter months, though May felt cooler at night. Some of the rooms appeared to have no windows, which might be a little disappointing for some, but considering the price, it is still a big win.

CAThe manager was friendly and kind. After we checked in in, it was not what we expected. Pictures were misleading. We talked to the manager and he gave us the option of another room or we could look for another place. Since it was a holiday, Sapa didn’t have any rooms available for the nights we were staying. We didn’t have any other options, so went with the other room he offered us.
The property is old and very run down. We found garbage left under the bed by previous guests. The ceiling in the bathroom was peeling and falling onto the shower floor.
GBIdeal location, just a short walk into downtown Sapa. The room we were given was very spacious and clean, the hotel provide a number of services including bus tickets and laundry which we used. Our laundry was done within hours and smelt so fresh! The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them. I hope to return to Sapa in the near future and this is the only hotel I would use.
