Whimsical Wonderland Cottage Retreat near Peak District

The property was very quaint and compact as can be seen in the photos. The location was an excellent base for exploring the local area.

The cottage was perfect. Everything you would need. Clean,comfortable. A total delight.

No cons at all.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely village location. The view from the cottage was stunning. Perfect location for accessing country walks. Cottage had everything needed for a couple of nights away. Communication with owners was really good, we had no issues during our stay. Enjoyed a lovely meal at the Miners Standard.

The cottage is gorgeous and cozy. Its located in a charming town to explore and public footpaths that allow you to explore the local hillsides. We ate in the town pub.

We loved pretty much everything about this cottage. The decor is gorgeous, the kitchen is very well equipped, the location is beautiful, and the hosts communication was excellent. There was a very welcome bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival along with biscuits, coffee pods, tea, sugar etc. There is a superb little shop in the village but it is a very steep walk back up to the cottage. As other reviews have mentioned, parking can be a little tricky. This is more to do with the steepness of the bank rather than the size of the space, we had an SUV size vehicle which fitted fine. We had a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful few days here. Thank you 😊

The only small gripe was that we found the lounge furniture a little uncomfortable, this is probably more down to us being used to recliners at home but the sofa is quite small.
