Jansen’s Bungalow Sinharaja Rainforest Retreat

Exceptional location, quality of facilities and customer service. Combination of pool and river (and nearby waterfall) was a massive hit with kids. Also very close to access to rainforest. Staff very helpful, running us around in Tuk Tuks etc. A special place.

Beautiful setting, well designed with wonderful rustic but elegant style, special touches in decor. Attentive, responsive and friendly staff. Infinity pool added a wonderful touch. Food was terrific, Sri Lankan and otherwise.

My Colombo friends recommended it, and it lived up to expectations! The location is beautiful, in very close proximity to Sinharaja Forest Reserve. The room was very comfortable: excellent bed, hot water, very quiet room. I slept very very well.

The wifi wasn't great, but then we were in a remote area, so somewhat understandable.

The most beautiful hotel I’ve seen. For a person who loves rain and forest it was perfect. Stuff was also very helpful and nice and food was great 💜

There were 2 or 3 dogs, and they were a little bit disturbed to the guests, and the WiFi connection needed to be improved .

As others have said - ‘a hidden gem’. Great views, amazing infinity pool, staff that are delightful and so helpful, tasty food and it is only minutes to the entrance to the National Park
