I liked the area; in particular the nearby canal.

beds were very comfy

presentation of the property 5 out of 10, no welcome pack, no cleaning been done as it was covered in cobwebs, doors didn't shut without slamming and light fitting in one bedroom not working.

It should have had permits to park outside, that’s why I booked this property unfortunately this wasn’t the case I at to park 10 minutes away and fetch the car every morning and park up elsewhere later, there was no blinds on the kitchen or bathroom windows which meant everyone felt very exposed being the house was surrounded by houses, the bathroom door didn’t shut, neither did one of the bedrooms. The stairs were not suitable for elderly guests as they were steep and not very wide treads. Upon arrival there was an old takeaway left in the fridge which left the place smelly.

No information provided for how to operate the heating just had to fiddle and try and get things to work, same with the TV no instructions provided and as we are from overseas we are not familiar with UK heating systems and TV setup. Plus no parking avaialable and we only found this out when we arrived! Stairs to bedroom and bathroom very steep and narrow we managed, but this would be no good for older people with mobility issues.

The communication was quick and responsive to any queries before during and following up after to make sure we were happy with our trip and accommodation, very good customer service. The decor was lovely, great vibes, You could see what they are trying to achieve and it is a work in progress so definitely value for money, waling distance to the town shops, eateries and museums and race course, we went to evening races and in the day did shopping and lunch. A brilliant mid week break.

It wasn't a problem for us but if you struggle with stairs the toilet is at the top of two step stairs such is the house layout which cannot be avoided/changed. It has hand rails to aid you as well if needed.

The accommodation was just right for us. Comfortable Safe Secure It was quite quirky and loved the record player with records 🙂 We had a parking permit so was able to park right outside the house
