GBOn booking web site it said there was a lounge and dinning room but there wasn’t there was only two seats in a bedroom, and the dining was two bar stools. Also there were only three pillows they were not very comfy as we always have two each
GBA beautifully renovated cottage in a lovely peaceful rural location. Very clean and comfortable, with good kitchen facilities. Easy driving distance from Edinburgh and perfect for our overnight stay. Key is in a coded box, so can arrive late without disturbing the owners. Would happily have stayed longer!
AUPerfect base to explore Edinburgh as the property is located close enough to the city but is surrounded by pretty farmlands. We drove to Gorebridge station, parking is free and took a train to Edinburgh Waverley sation which is in the heart of the city in less than 30 mins.. made exploring Edimburgh easy and stressfree. The hosts; Samantha and Stefan were very helpful before and during our stay. Thank you for hosting us. Will stay again.

GBLocation was simply magical, lots of history, walks, places of interest. The facilities were spot on, some lovely touches like chocolate and flowers because it was Easter, organic milk in the fridge for a brew on arrival and even coffee for the machine, these little things make the experience a rememberable one. Thank you.
Being really picky, the pillows were not good, flat and very lumpy very easy fix... However it didn't spoil what was an amazing time at this wonderful cottage.
USThis was the nicest place we stayed during a couple weeks in the UK and might have been the cheapest, too. The building dates from the 1600s, and the hosts have painstakingly renovated it. The inside is brand new and very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly. It's on a small country road surrounded by fields, but it's a few minutes drive away from the Gorebridge train station, which makes it a good base for visiting Edinburgh.
Not the hosts' fault, but Google Maps sent us to the wrong location. We ended up at Borthwick Farm, which is a mile or so away and had to ask someone for directions. Phone reception is spotty, so you may not be able to call or look up directions when you're close. I would recommend just entering the postcode (EH23 4QZ) for your destination and not including the "Borthwick Farm Cottage Annex" part to avoid the problem we had.
GBVery clean, comfortable bed and great shower. Nice and quiet area a view of a castle out of the front door. The hosts were brilliant, very helpful.
No microwave that's all.
