The property was beautifully situated at the end of the lake meaning that when waking up or going to bed you had a very nice view of the upcoming sun or the sun going down which was very beautiful. Also the amenities at the house were top-notch, heating everywhere the bathrooms were clean a private kitchen that was used by the chef but also could be used by us. In addition the centuries old home was beautifully renovated with antiques used and sliding doors giving a perfect peaceful vibe. We would also like to give our shout out to the host they made this stay an unforgettable experience. They were so kind to us they helped us along the way. We can definitely recommend booking this place and also the extra services like breakfast and the diner service. Special mention to the tea ceremony, which was a true delight. no complaints.

Overall there was nothing we didn’t like about the property. The only thing to keep in mind is when going in November is that it can be quite cold, but that’s why they provide ample sources of heating.

Our stay at The LAKE house was amazing. This house is so gorgeous and furnished beautifully with the most thoughtful touches like complimentary drinks, snacks and fresh flowers. Before we even arrived, the hosts answered my many questions in a timely manner and were a pleasure to work with. At check-in, the hosts met us for a thorough introduction to the house and the area. We loved taking walks along the lake and enjoying the nearby cafe. I especially enjoyed using the Onsen at the hotel next door, free of charge. The hosts also organized a private chef to come and make us dinner one night and the food was fantastic. This was a very memorable stay and I highly recommend to those looking for a relaxing and traditional Japanese accommodation.

Had a wonderful time and experience in this property!!Spent my birthday here and the owners, concierge, and chef definitely made my day special. I asked if they could provide a small cake along with my dinner (opted for a personal chef for both breakfast and bday dinner). All the meals and cake were delicious! They also explained what transportation to use to go around Lake Kawaguchi. Though the property doesn’t have a direct view of Mt. Fuji, they noted which places have the best views.

The place is great, clean, and has a truly amazing location. The owner and staff were so nice welcoming us and made sure we are comfortable during our stay. Highly recommended place.

If you want to shower you have to use the adjacent hotel's facilities which is not open 24/7.

La maison est magnifique. Et le propriétaire est d'une grande gentillesse. Il a pris le temps de nous guider à un restaurant qu'il nous avait conseillé (et qui était parfait). L'accord avec l'hôtel (à 50 m) pour disposer de l'onsen gratuitement est juste incroyable. (Bain chaud intérieur et extérieur, bain chaud à la peau de raisin et bain froid)

古き良き昭和の懐かしさを感じられる家。 センス良くリノベーションされた内装、素敵な家具、室内の良い香り、生花が飾られとても心地の良い空間でした。 2階寝室からのロケーションは最高でベッドの寝心地も良かったです。 キッチンは出張シェフ専用のようですが、電子レンジ、トースター、電気ケトル、冷蔵庫があるのでスーパー等のお弁当を持ち込み食事が可能です。 冷蔵庫にはミネラルウォーターと紅茶のペットボトル、フルーツのパックジュースが各人数分、冷凍庫にはロックアイスも用意されていて嬉しかった。

Il soggiorno è stata un'esperienza assolutamente unica: il benvenuto caloroso da parte del concierge e della proprietà sono stati poi di una cortesia assoluta. Un ringraziamento di cuore per aver reso la nostra permanenza un'esperienza indimenticabile. A presto!
