Sincere Wilderness Home stay

The hospitality was exceptional. Romni and her family gave us such a warm welcome and through the stay. The meals were good and plenty. We truly enjoyed the guided walk, which allowed us to see the beautiful shrouding of Nuwara Eliya.

The home stay is located some distance from the city centre, so this needs to be taken into account when planning, if without transport

Cozy Spacious beautifully decorated room. Had a great 2 night stay and peaceful sleep. Gorgeous view from the balcony. Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner were super delicious and filing. It was so nice of Ramoni to call us the day of arrival and arrange dinner as per our liking. Very considerate as a host. Also, she helped to arrange a tuktuk for a full day Nuwara Eliya tour and early morning drop to Nanu Oya with Kumudhan, the tuktuk driver, who really gave us a very good tour of Nuwara eliya as a whole and made the experience really memorable. They have lovely cats and dogs who gave us company during our stay and made the trip all the more special. Thanks a lot Ramoni and aunty for making us feel at home. We stayed two nights at Sincere Wilderness and I can completely confirm the previous reviews. Romeni and her mother are the most heartwarming people always making sure you feel comfortable and welcomed. We have had breakfast and dinner at the home stay and both were outstanding and one of the best during our stay in Sri Lanka. On our second night we joined the ladies in the kitchen to see how our dinner was prepared. Unfortunately, her father was sick and not able to offer his famous hiking tour. So Romeni organized us a great guided tour by tuktuk to see several tea factories and waterfalls in the area. I highly recommend staying at the chalet since it was really cozy and spacious. Rooms were clean and providing everything you need (incl. fridge, water kettle, hair dryer and fresh flowers from the garden). We would come back anytime :)

Please keep in mind that it can get pretty cold in Nuwara Eliya during the night. We were also provided with blankets and a hot water bottle which was really kind.

Romeni was the perfect host during all these days. The place was so good that we decided to stay for another two days! Their food is delicious and maybe the best I ever tasted in Sri Lanka.... honestly. They respect your privacy and st the same time care for your needs. We couldn't ask for more.

The house was rather cold and no heating facilities. We had to get back to town and get some warm clothes. I recommend buying from this guy as he offered the best price for two fleeces: Thilip Kumar No41A Queens Elizabeth plaza Tel 0763770067

Romily and her family were so kind and welcoming, we had a huge area to ourselves with a living room too, and the most delicious dinner cooked by the family - some of the best food we’ve eaten here. We had to get up early the next day for a hike and they gave us tea before we went and sent us off with hot packed breakfasts. A very friendly dog called Toby was a bonus (though he only came up because we like dogs so that shouldn’t deter anyone who’s less of a fan).

The most amazing stay in Nuwara Eliya! From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. They organised a tuk-tuk for us from the train station in Nanuoya for a great price. They also organised a tour to some waterfalls and tea plantations the afternoon we arrived which we would definitely recommend. The nature walk with Romeni's father was very interesting. However, the best bit was the food. If you are wanting to taste some of the best food in Sri Lanka, you will not be disappointed here. The evening meal and breakfast were both outstanding. Hopefully they open a restaurant in the near future as we'll definitely be back!

Romeni and her parents are such sweethearts! They made us feel at home from the first minute on. Their home made food was delicious and the room nice and clean. I had a cold when we arrived and they even prepared fresh lemon tea for me with lemons from their own garden. The 3,5h hiking Tour with Romeni’s dad was great. He showed us the cloudforest, tea plantages and some old villages. We can totally recommend staying with this lovely family!
