Ultra Luxury Beach Penthouse

The penthouse was lovely, very comfortable with beautiful sea views. The host was friendly and happy to accommodate our needs. The little touches like milk, cereal and water were appreciated. We all had lovely time and definitely would book it again.

Great location being opposite the beach and a short ride into town. Big apartment could easily fit 3 couples for a weekend.

Shower was a bit temperamental in the en suite

Where do I start!! Firstly I would like to point out that this property is advertised as an Ultra Luxury Penthouse. Well, I expected this property to be luxurious but it wasn’t. It was not as clean as I would have expected an Ultra Luxury Penthouse to be. There were smears on the glass tables, smears on the kitchen cupboards doors. The cutlery was not clean. The sofa had something unmentionable stuffed between two sofa seats whichgot stuck to my brother’s trousers… disgusting! The skirting boards were dusty. Behind the cupboards, various units in all the rooms there was dust which has been there for a long time. This suggests whoever does the cleaning just does a “spit and polish” job at best. If you’re advertising this place as “Ultra Luxury” then every aspect of it should live up to this status. Sadly it did not. The bedrooms were nothing much to shout about. Probably in keeping with a budget hotel. The middle room resembled a “spare room” where odd bits of furniture had been placed. The bed was pushed up against the wall so the second person would have to climb over the bed to get into it. There was a huge futon sofa bed adjacent to the bed. Very little room to manoeuvre (heaven knows what the three packets of crisps on this futon were for). There was also a large armchair in front of the wardrobe. This did not speak of luxury at all, far from it. There was only one working socket in the room. Some of the slats on the balcony door blind were twisted and had to be repaired (by me) in order to block out early morning daylight. I can assure The black head board and black crushed velvet valance on the bed did little to make this room feel ultra luxurious ..in fact it had quite the opposite affect! Also, we were there during this extremely cold spell and there were NO duvets on the beds!! At the front entrance we were greeted with dog faeces in the downstairs flat’s terrace. The sight and stench was awful.
