Gileston Manor-Self catering

The cottage was stunning ! It was very tastefully decorated and impeccably clean.

It was very comfortable, clean and the bedding was divine.

Directions on Booking .com differed from the Gileston directions . Also we had booked for self catering and were initially taken to a room with only tea making facilities . We did get sorted and the lovely person we spoke to said she had upgraded us … surprising as we had booked for self catering .

Lovely location. Staff were friendly and tried to help as much as possible.

Heating didnt work for the whole stay. Hot water wasnt very good. Often had no hot water. The location was in need of a deep clean.

Great room, clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and the woodlands spa topped off the stay!

Dirty bedroom. The bricks need hoovering there full of dust and cob webs, the kettle water was yellow. Under the bed full of dust. mouldy pillow case. complaining. Apart from that it was lush.

We loved everything about Gileston Manor & self-catering. The accommodation was clean and homely. The decor is stunning and it really is that escape we needed! Some of the most stunning views and beautiful grounds, which the staff work hard to maintain. Very welcoming and friendly staff! Perfect location for a peaceful, relaxing stay! We will definitely be back again soon! Our new place when we need a little break away! Felt like home away from home!

There was nothing not to like! Absolutely outstanding all round!

Such fun to stay in the “Vault” with its rounded ceiling. It was a very comfortable room and bed. The bathroom is separate but without a door. We loved walking around the property. Beautiful gardens.
