The grounds were nice

The so called self catering was just a room and kettle. Nowhere to hang clothes or put clothes. The toilet was in the room, no ventilation and no door or curtain over that part. The shower was in the room too, this had a curtain and the shower just flooded the floor. The floor of the room was filthy, under the bed and behind was disgusting. It was expensive too. The window above door did not lock and the accommodation wasn’t secure .

I love how beautiful the gardens are. The spa retreat was so relaxing even in the rain.

Alot of dust and cobwebs and bits on the floor behind furniture. Water stains on the shower glass. Dirty yellow water in the coffee machine and had a long hair. Mould stain on the pillow. No privacy in the toilet. Could do with another curtain

Amazing location, Lorraine was very helpful

The dehumidifier was drawing 5+ litres of water every day of my 4-night stay, not sure how healthy that is. No way to switch off outside light and the WiFi router has a blue light that prevents total darkness in the room at night along with the outside light.

Lovely building and surrounding grounds

No staff to check us in, we missed dinner waiting.. The Bakery room was dirty (floors, cobwebs, dehumidifier full…)

Beautiful location and nice to walk around the grounds

It got worse and worse in spite of our good will.

-Mouldy and damp room with dehumidifiers hidden under the bed (see photos) and horrible smell inside the room -Staff not on site or responding to calls in spite of a 24/7 duty number -Agreed to full refund due to health and safety issues with the room but never made the refund and stopped answering emails/calls - we received support from HM Courts and Tribunal Services who made them make the bank transfer (had to nudge them again as they only refunded partially first)
