Entire boutique mill cottage

So this charming cottage, sits nicely on it's own, right next to the River Calder. The decor has a great mixture of shabby chic and modern look to it. The rooms are spacious, and warmed with modern style wall radiators. Bedrooms with tv's, both with streaming services available. The WI-FI is excellent. A huge plus point for guest's is a large Morrisons supermarket is within walking distance (5 minutes) or a drive of around a minute. Here you can stock up with all your food/beverages, if eating in some days/nights. A short stroll into Elland and you'll find some local shops, cafes, pubs etc.

So, if arriving when it's dark, like we did, aim for the Exchange Mill building. We drove past it initially, as i was looking for a row of cottages. However it's just a lone cottage on its own. It has two lovely lamps outside, which i think a nice little cottage sign would help identify for arriving guests.

We thought being so close to the road would cause us a problem but we all slept fine. The beds and pillows were comfy. Would be nice to see that lovely fireplace used as a fire if its feasible?

Beautiful cottage, very well located close to amenities, I chose this property because we were attending a funeral around the corner and I feel like we stumbled onto a little gem and will definitely be staying again

The cottage is sylish and comfortable with high spec ensuites to both bedrooms which have very comfortable warm beds. Great kitchen too. Parking is less than 50 metres away. Perfect location to stroll into Elland to the very excellent Craft and Tap pub. Morrissons is just 5 mins walk for provisions and cafe. Would recommend.

Lack of tea,coffee sugar

A very convenient location for attending a family party at a nearby venue. Nice view over the river. Comfortable beds. Easy parking.

The cottage was very cold when we arrived and took quite a while to warm up. We agreed that roller blinds on the big windows downstairs would have helped to keep in the heat. Lighting in the main bedroom was not great for putting make-up on. Also, one bulb not working in bedside lamp but couldn’t find a replacement.
