Entire boutique mill cottage

Quirky mixture of modern and old cottage style. Convenient for buses to Halifax.

I slept badly because the house is next to a very busy road junction. There was a lot of late night, during the night and early morning traffic noise. Unfortunately it was too warm to shut the bedroom windows. If you are going to ask guests to strip beds before they leave it would be nice if you used mattress protectors to cover stains.

Lovely cottage. Having 2 bathrooms was a plus. Should walk to Morrisons and the town centre.

Ruth's place was lovely, it was very well equipped and a great location for the event we were attending! She was brilliant at communicating about our stay ahead of arrival. The place has been decorated to a really nice standard with quirky features. Free Wi-Fi was really helpful to get some work done and use the smart TVs which are placed throughout. Although we didn't need them, Ruth's place has things like a high chair, washing machine and iron which are really handy!

Unfortunately I was way too hot under the winter duvet in July, so did not have a very comfortable nights sleep. The bed its self was comfortable. Some road noise from the busy road outside (needed the window open due to hot duvet), but this is to be expected if you know the area, and it was so close to our venue we were willing to accept this.

Home from home. So clean and comfortable! Great location for Halifax and Piece Hall. Cheap taxi recommended by host.

Road was a little noisy but that can't be helped.

Location is great,with parking nearby (opposite); easy access via keysafe and the initial impression is good. The standard of furnishings,bedding and kitchen appliances/equipment is excellent . Hot water is VERY hot, great views of the river to rear. Absolutely fabulous mattresses Good info from Ruth on locality & taxi info

Minor inconveniences: No drainer for washing up, only one Teas towel. Trees at rear block river view- cut down or drastic trim needed
