Great information from the host made the experience easy, wonderful hospitality & communication, fantastic location, convenient to the station, shops & restaurants. It made us feel at home with a wonderful Japanese experience, not just a hotel room to sleep in. We cooked in the kitchen which was really nice on our holiday.

Many small touches from the owner made us feel welcome and comfortable. Really nothing negative except the stairs to the second floor are steep, not for everyone. Banisters on both sides really help! I'm 70 years old and large but have been in Japan for many years, and have lived in similar type housing, so I could handle it, but if you don't like steep steps, plan to stay on the first floor! I especially enjoyed the streaming service on the TV, but it's on the second floor! Overall, a great place to stay. Highly recommended!

Great location. We extended our stay! Three nights for Beppu is fine!

Steep steps..not impossible if you take it slow, but if you have bad knees, you will need to stay on the first floor, which has a nice bedroom!

Great location, very convenient access about 10-15 minutes walk from Beppu station. Incredibly comfortable beds, slept like a baby. Wifi worked well, we could stream movies without issues. The kitchen has everything you need to make a quick breakfast. Overall great value!

The ceiling is a bit low for somebody taller than 1.85 / 6.1
