The Arches Apartments Kendal

Comfortable beds, good shower, great location, and well equipped with hosts thoughtfully providing shampoo & conditioner, as well as tea coffee and milk and some food to start our stay. Thank you!

Absolutely everything you could have asked for. The apartment is exactly as what you can see from the pictures. The host even has a parking permit so you can use it in other car parks. There’re even towels, bathing robes and even board games! Right in the middle of Kendal with supermarkets and even a very easy but scenic walk to the castle (only 15 -20 min walk). Would definitely recommend to anyone.

The stairs were a bit of a challenge for my 82 year old father but it’s the nature of the building.

Lee was a great host , and went above and beyond. The apartment is immaculate with everything you could possibly need in a great location.

Very convenient location in town centre. All routes of buses right in the front to anywhere in the Lake District. We used buses mostly. Impressively decorated throughout. I like its indoor stairs and its little loft area a lot too - there are some rare quality of design in it. Better than any 4 or 5 star hotels I ever lived in for business trips. All facilities are new and shining clean. I like the big kettle and the little coffee machine a lot. It’s quiet during the night to my surprise. We slept well. Parking permit allows us to park in the back for free. It’s not far from Oxemholme Station so my son could join us from London over the weekend. Last but not the least: Lee is a nice host full of curtesy to us. We would certainly love to visit him and this apartment again soon I hope.

I can’t think of a thing that we don’t like yet. They looked all fine and right to us so far.

Fantastic town centre location with eating, culture and shopping all on the doorstep. We had the Residence and Penthouse apartments for our large family group. Both are beautifully decorated and furnished and provide plenty of comfort as well as numerous games for the young people and super tv enabling us to watch the Lions! Bathrooms, although compact, are well planned and the double showers are great. The kitchens are well equipped.The apartments felt very safe and the host provided a free car park permit for the parking by the building. A very special welcome was in each fridge with drinks and all the essentials for our first breakfast - thank you, a lovely surprise. The Arches really have the wow factor!

For Grandma the stairs needed a slow and steady climb!!!
