The Arches Apartments Kendal

Great host. On arrival you have a tour of the apartment to make sure you know how everything works. Was left with some free groceries which was a really nice surprise. The apartment is super comfortable, clean and well decorated. Lives up to the pictures. Booked this in February and the spa bath is a definite bonus visiting the lakes during winter. After hiking all day or after a 30 mile bike ride, it’s a life saver to go home to. The building was super quiet so great for couples or families wanting a quiet escape. Kitchen is supplied well with cooking equipment. Much prefer this to hotel rooms. Can still have home cooked meals. A home away from home. Great entertainment choices, tvs in the every room with access to all kinds of movies and entertainment apps. + a Xbox. Great location in Kendal on the high street. Great for going to pubs or access to shops. With the added bonus of not having the noise pollution alongside it. We didn’t hear a thing. If you’re travelling by car like us it’s a great base to then travel to other places like Windermere for the day. We hired bikes there. All rooms are really clean couldn’t fault them. And every room comes with a stunning view. If you’re unsure over booking I’d say do it. It’s not one you’d regret.

Nothing at all

The host of this apartment met us on arrival and showed us around the apartment explaining what the apartment had to offer. The apartment is well set up, the decor is lovely and the double shower is fantastic! The design makes good use of the space, the view from the living area is great for people watching. It's a fantastic apartment!

Nothing not to like, we all loved it!

The apartment was small but perfectly formed. the rooms were not huge but never felt cramped and there was plenty of storage. It is decorated beautifully, with some lovely little christmas extras to make it feel homely we traveled in Dec. The host warmed the apartment before we arrived, talked us through the heating and TV etc, left us a few bits in the fridge which were greatly appreciated and unexpected, along with some Kendal mint cake which the kids enjoyed! Location could not have been better, with a pub and a chippy right across the street, and 2 minute walk into town.

very minor things as overall i would 100% recommend, but i personally found the quilts a bit too big and bulky, so although comfortable they were difficult to move and the kids struggled to move them at all. Also, we ended up putting a hand towel for the bathroom on top of the radiator which wasnt especially practical, a little hook or something to hold a hand towel is the literal only thing i would have liked to have seen.

Amazing location and a super comfortable apartment.

Amazing location on the high street of Kendal, so close to everything. Lee was an amazing host, very responsive throughout our stay and even came to pick us up at the train station upon arrival. The appartment had everything we could ever think to need, incl. a breakfast starter kit and made the perfect base during our stay.

Lee is an amazing host, he’s very accommodating and has done an exceptional job with the apartment. We stayed in the Penthouse with jacuzzi which was perfect for my friends 40th birthday, everything we could possibly need or want was provided, all the extra touches were really lovely and really appreciated, we had an amazing time. Thank you Lee for your hard work 💜

The host was very welcoming when we arrived at the property. He showed us around, had left us a few essential items in the apartment which was great. Milk, bread, water, orange juice, butter etc. The flat was beautifully decorated, very secure, beds were very comfortable and showers were great. Each room had a large TV in it which was ideal. The kitchen had everything you needed with the added bonus of a coffee machine, wine cooler etc. It is very well located in the centre of town, close to the shops, pubs and restaurants.

We never had any issues during our stay and have no complaints.
