Grandinn Luxury apartment in Downtown Reykjavík

Value for money and nice modern apartment overall with a really helpful and friendly host. Three supermarkets are within easy walking distance of the apartment, and the city centre is not too far away either by foot.

We chose this over a more centrally located studio apartment because it was labelled as a 'one-bedroom apartment'; however, although the "bedroom" has a middle petition separating it from the living area, it does not have a bedroom door, but rather two open access points either side of the bed. As a family, we had no real privacy. It would be more accurately described as a studio+ apartment. I also think future guests would really appreciate a microwave oven, toaster and a kettle.

Spotless and new apartment. Comfortable and warm. Pretty much perfect. Owner responded super fast after we couldn’t find the wifi code.

Finding it and getting in. In the dark it was a bit challenging. Stocking of the kitchen could have been a bit more elaborate. Eg there were some koffie options but no tea and /or sugar/milk

The apartment was brand new, nicely furnished and well equipped. Internet worked well, the kitchen had all necessary utensils and I liked the fact that it had a washer and dryer. The place is within convenient walking distance from the harbor and the downtown area. Several large grocery stores, as well as several restaurants are just a few minutes walk.

While the apartment is fully functional, it is part of a larger development that is still under construction. Starting at 8:15a there was significant construction noise, including hammer drills, cutting tools, and paver machinery, that made it very hard to sleep, even with ear plugs. Work tool also place on Saturday all day. I assume that the work will be completed in the coming weeks or months, but recommend to doublecheck with the rental team. Several things to note are that this apartment is on the ground floor facing the inner court yard and can feel very exposed to people walking by when the dark curtains are pulled back. It is also worth noting that he bedroom is separated from the living room by a partial wall only and has no door.

We stayed for 1 night in Grandinn apartments, the check in was smooth, the location centric, easy to find parking and everything close by.

Construction in the building and around the building. No curtains or blinds in kitchen. Lights from apartment in front in constrictions are annoying from bedroom at night
