Banyan Tree Samudra

Breakfast was okay. Location was also good. But I found some worm in my room in the very morning. I also informed and showed the same to the owner.

The service were really good and it was worth the rate. The room was very spacious and clean. And the breakfast was really delicious that made our day.

Property is walkable distance to the beach with nice view of the sea from balcony. No problems with parking although it felt like street parking. Restaurant and the complimentary breakfast provided was decent.

No intercom from the room to the reception. Not sure if they would deliver food from the restaurant to the room. Cleanliness outside of the room could be definitely improved.

Close to Samudra beach. Calm and quiet location. Just 3 kms to Lighthouse. Very near and clean. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast.

Two completely different stairs for 2 different type rooms , as I had booked both double room and a family room for ourselves as we were group of 8 family members It was inconvenient while going from one room to another

Excellent location, walking distance from the beach. Family room was spacious with attached kitchen. The room including the bathroom was maintained neat and clean. Bath towels and bedsheets too were clean and replaced when required. The hotel has an in house vegetarian restaurant which serves good north Indian food. The USP of this hotel is the personal attention given to each and every customer by the owner, Ms Dhanya Nair. She ensured that our request as well as any queries related to the stay and transport to the nearby attractions were attended promptly. The staff too is very friendly and provides assistance whenever required

The access to the family room is via separate staircase and there is no elevator . Hence one has to climb down and up the stairs to go to the restaurant or main hotel /lobby. While I am sure that they would have provided room service for breakfast and lunch or dinner, I would recommend to make suitable arrangements whereby climbing up and down, couple of floors can be avoided, especially for senior citizens The complimentary breakfast served although very tasty and adequate, consisted only of north Indian items. People who are not from South, are interested in having a south Indian or local breakfast and lunch / dinner. Ms Nair not only graciously accepted this feedback but arranged for a South Indian breakfast one day.
