Green Dragon LUDLOW

We felt comfortable and at home from the moment we arrived and settled. Parking was on the street, but easy enough. When Paul came home, it was as if we were greeting an old friend. He was warm, welcoming and hilarious. A visually stimulating delight in every direction we looked, with an equally interesting story to accompany the arts and artifacts he’s collected over a lifetime. He was so accommodating to my gluten-free needs, and even sent me away with a gluten-free care package. Super knowledgeable about movies dating back to the beginning of the industry and even put us on a better version of an old film we started watching. A truly good human being doing great things for others in the world. One of the best stays we’ve had!

Made to feel very welcome.

Paul was a great host very knowledgable about the area and took us to find cheap parking. We loved hearing about the many unusual arts and crafts that Paul has acquired over the years. There is only one lovely spacious room therefore Paul can give each visitor all of his efforts. We would most definitely be returning.

Cereal, toast, fruit and tea/coffee. Perfect. Very comfy bed. Great. Wacky decor which made a great change. Paul is a great host, who is happy for guests to share lounge and kitchen.

The location is excellent, close to the centre of town and some nice walks by the river. Paul is a fantastic host. He made us feel very welcome straight away. The Green Dragon is definitely a reflection of Paul's personality, quirky, comfortable, kind and very welcoming! If you like Frank Zappa, you have to visit! Paul also provided us with extensive knowledge of local pubs, eateries, castles etc. all of which are well worth a visit!

We wouldn't change a single thing!

Staying at the Green Dragon was magic. Paul is a very considerate host who really looked after us. It was a privilege to stay for two nights. There is a great pub 'The Tavern' just up the street which has a great miscellany of dogs as well as great ale. Across the street is a fish and chip shop and Paul let us bring one of our suppers back to his house to eat.

We liked everything.

Very welcoming, friendly host, high knowledge of the area with good suggestions for dining and visiting. Excellent location for exploring an interesting town and good base for exploring the wider area.

The room is very cramped.

Comfy bed

Road noise, no lock on bedroom door (small sliding bolt on the inside), carpet in the bathroom has seen better days, a stale smell, shabby looking. I wouldn't stay again.
