Cant really think of anything

We loved our whole experience. The house and the guests facility are wonderfully designed with a stunning garden to look out on. Sadly we didn’t get to meet Janie’s dogs but we did get to meet her and enjoy her beautiful art work. Breakfast and refreshments were amazing considering there is not an actual kitchen. It was not needed. There was abundance of fresh fruit, locally made jams and a fridge full of breakfast delights not to mention the freshly heated croissants and pain au raisins. An exceptionally lovely BnB.

That we couldn’t stay longer.

Location was very good and near all we wanted to do. The property and gardens were beautiful and well presented. We had a very good nights sleep. We stayed in Room 2 which is upstairs. Our first night was superb as we had the place to ourselves and we felt comfortable popping up and down the stairs to access the dining facilities , including the fridge and access to the garden. Breakfast was lovely with a very good selection. The host was very helpful and did all that she could to ensure that we had a nice time.

On the second night guests arrived to stay in the downstairs Room 1. This restricted our sense of freedom and relaxation, which is personal to us and not necessarily the view of most people! We had obviously been aware that our room did not have a lockable door and this wasn’t an issue the first night as we had the annex to ourselves and had locked the main door with the key provided. However, this was now a concern as we both started to worry that we were vulnerable during the night time when we were sleeping. My wife was very upset and would not have been able to sleep in the knowledge that the other guests could wander into our room whilst we slept. We brought our concerns to the attention of our host, but due to the time of day no satisfactory solution could be found eg getting a locksmith, leaving us with no option other than to cut our trip short by one night. Our host has since informed us that a locksmith has been arranged to ensure future guests are not faced with our problem and she has also agreed to refund our second night. Thankyou Janie. Summarising, We would not hesitate to stay again should we be in the area with friends or family, to ensure that our sense of freedom and relaxation is not lost and the bedroom door is lockable ( no offence to any other guests, just our personal preference) .

Lovely location, very welcoming and friendly owner who was extremely helpful during our stay. Wonderful breakfast - all the little personal touches. Would love to return.

Beautiful house in a stunning setting. Janie our host was so welcoming and helpful in every way. Nothing was too much trouble. Continental breakfast was very good with soft fruits and home made jam and marmalade. A delicious cooked breakfast was provided on our last day. The upstairs accommodation was very comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities and lovely views.

Internet was a little slow but not a problem when you’re on holiday.
