Da Vinci Eastbourne

Très grande chambre. Lumineuse et bien agencée. Très bon accueil . Le Chef et son petit déjeuner étaient parfaits. Ont gentiment accepté de mettre nos vélos en lieu sûr.

The water was very tempremental, toliet didn't flush properly & flow of water in sink & shower was as if the water had been turned off then on again.

The hotel is in a great position, and included a parking permit for my 1 night stay. The downstairs rooms are lovely light and airy with high ceilings. There are paintings on all the walls, which are for sale. I had a single room 203 and there is a lift to the 2nd floor where my room was located at the back of the hotel. It was a good sized square room, and had a Van Gogh themed with several prints on the walls. There is a huge TV at the end of the bed. The shower is simple to use and the bathroom is a good size. The double glazed window opened and I left it open all night and it wasn't that noisy. The curtains do keep the room pretty dark and the bed is comfortable for a good sleep. I had the breakfast £9 paid at the hotel. I was served coffee and chose the items I wanted from the cooked breakfast menu. I don't know if there are lighter options. I felt the hotel was very good and especially good value for money especially so close to the seafront. It's also less than 5 mins walk to the Devonshire park theatre.

There were no major negatives about the hote, and I'd be very happy to return. A few small things though. The breakfast was reasonable value. Unfortunately the chef had to leave at 9 so I don't know if I could have had a second coffee. Having the coffee in a mug means there's nowhere to put your spoon and all the little packing from the butter, Jan etc. it would be good to have a recepticle to put the 'rubbish' in on the table and a saucer for the spoon. Also there was only one knife, so you have to spread butter etc on your toast and then eat the full English. Be nice to have had a desperate knife.

Da Vinci hotel is the heart of art in simple, modern form of room facilities. I loved it. You can pick up your art education wondering around in the building. Very welcoming host. Not over crowded. Only 21 rooms in total that gives you peace. The decoration is awesome. It's simple very clean room. Well equipped, even has got DVD player. The room had partial seaview. That was nice. Also very clean and comfortable bed.

The bathroom's shower could be a little bit more up to date.

This was exactly what I was looking for, the staff were nice, the room was comfortable and the location was perfect :)

There was nothing to dislike

As ever really good value for money. My single room was clean, comfortable with a desk, kettle and tv. Close to the seafront, restaurants, coffee shop, round the corner. The Turner Gallery and theatres are very close.
