CORSO MARCONI HOUSE

The Location was very central and convenient. While it was back from the beach, the price reflected that. It had wonderful facilities- newly renovated, good stove with an oven, cooking utensils,washing machine, ironing board,, tea, coffee, adn even cute lacy doilies.

For tea drinker an electric kettle would help. the host says he is getting one so all should be well.

L'emplacement est idéal pour se rendre à l'autobus qui nous amène au bateau de croisière. La gare est également à proximité. L'équipement de l'apartement est basique, mais très convenable pour un séjour de courte durée. À noter que les poêlons anti-andhésifs de 3 grandeurs différentes sont de bonne qualité et en très bon état. Plusieurs épiceries et restaurants à proximité.

Le salon est très petit. Un micro-onde aurait été apprécié.

The host ivan was lovely. He went above and beyond helping us with our luggage and providing information as to what was going on in the city.

Central location and value for money

Stairs up to the room and no kettle to boil water

Kitchen was stocked for self catering Italian breakfast (Coffee machine/coffee pods), fresh milk, pastry, packaged toasts, butter/jams. The fridge also contained two bottles of beer(BEER just isn't for breakfast ! )

We selected this flat due to its proximity to the Civitavecchia port since we were leaving the next day for a cruise. Ivan was a great host! He even navigated delays and road closures to pick us up from Rome. When we arrived the flat was clean and ready for us with towels, toiletries, and light snacks. There is an air conditioning unit (works well) in the bedroom and an updated bathroom. We had gorgeous weather during our stay and spent time watching the sunset on the balcony. The flat is perfectly situated with a pharmacy, small grocery store, and plenty of cafés and restaurants all within a five minute walk. There is also a shopping area with lots of boutiques close by, and as promised the meeting point for the busses to the cruise ships is another quick 5min/400m walk (easily navigable with rolling luggage) from the flat. Highly recommend for any couples spending time in Civitavecchia, regardless if you're there for a cruise or not!

No complaints about the flat, but tips for fellow travelers about the building: if you're not familiar with old European buildings beware the elevator/lift looks like it's straight from the Twilight Zone 😆 it doesn't bother me and it works perfectly, but if you have an elevator-phobic or larger travel companion they might opt for the stairs. Additionally, as there is a small flight of stairs to get to the flat even after the elevator, this would not be a good choice for anyone needing mobility assistance or using a wheelchair.

Apartment was new. Greeted by Ivan who was a super host. He explained everything in detail. Only 7 min walk to ferry bus service to cruise ship. Modern bath. Whole apartment exceptionally clean right in middle of everything you would need. Restaurants and boutiques almost at doorstep. Would definitely book again for longer period when next in Civitavecchia.
