Meraki Inn Saltlake

The location. Absolutely spotless inside the room. Allowed my pet to stay as an exception only because I had already checked in. Except for one person, staff was very kind, manager was okay all things considered.

One security guard was horrible. Unfortunately, this person was the most senior fellow so everyone had to listen to him except for the manager. Constantly smoking, spitting tobacco. Incompetent as a guard, old and feeble enough to be knocked down by tripping and falling. Had maybe 3 stained teeth. Judgemental, treats people like thieves, does not address with respect, yells rudely, aggressive, makes comments about guests RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM ("pata nahi kahan se aate hai aise log"), instigates fights, litters cigarette butts inside the stay. Also refused to bring up my food and medicines or let the delivery person come up even though I was deathly sick with cold, cough, and fever. Did not show any concern, instead ordered me to come down right away to shoo away the delivery person. Made me stay on call the entire time as he repeated his orders thrice. The stay is locked with shutters at night so there is no entry or exit at night, which is ridiculous. The stay is NOT pet friendly either, the manager claimed that the Booking.com listing is FAKE ("koi bhi kuch bhi daal sakta hai booking.com pe").

Good location, clean washroom, comfortable bed, window side sitting, smart TV and good internet

No toilet roles, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, too much small of a room, the window placement and the system barge into privacy.

Room was clean and good size. Bathroom was good. Area was calm.

No restaurant inside. No restaurant nearby. Halal food was impossible. Managing transport from the hotel was difficult and time consuming.
