Golden house sicily

Very clean and big room with fridge, separate bathroom, possibility to eat breakfast and make a good coffee. Very nice host, friendly and helpful! Cleaning every day, possibly to change the towels.

A very loud part of the city and dirty. Bus station close, but we never managed to catch the bus - no timetable, no busses on time - crazy ;-( Bathroom: not nice smell, no ventilation. Good luck there were a window.

It was recently renovated and everything was modern and very clean. Lovely bath in the bedroom - a nice touch. A C excellent and TV and Netflix. It was only 4.5 kms from the airport which is why we chose this lovely apartment but we didn’t get any advantage because the taxi charges the same ie 45 euro to the airport despite the distance involved.

No one met us on arrival and we had to ring the host who had no English. The property is remote and there were no restaurants nearby so we ordered Just Eat from Mc Donald’s.

Very nice new room, air-cooler is perfect! Shared kitchen with some snacks and drinks included.

Not minus! Just specific district, usual catanian streets outside of centrum.

The water pressure and the AC. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was ok if you like snacks and not continental breakfast.

The room was on the highest floor, apartment number 5. If you are a bigger person you would have to squeeze yourself and bow though the stairs and corridor. There was an awful smell coming from the bathroom for all 8 days we were staying. There were hundreds of ants in the apartment. Also i brought some of them in my suitcase when I arrived home from vacation. The bedsheets were not changed even once in 8 days. We received new towels on the sixth day of our stay. Finally, try not to stay in apartment number 5, if you like to have a Wifi connection. We had only one bar of internet connection, and it was dropping every 2 minutes. If you want to connect you would have to leave the room and go in the hallway, only to go back to your room and see that the network was too weak and u can't even chat with your family back home. They had an extender for Wifi signal, but when connected to an already weak signal it is useless.

Clean and nice, the location is terrible. And we read afterwards that is one of the areas you should avoid in Catania

Location does not feel safe at all. We were were really afraid to get robbed

Overall very good ratio price/quality . The room was very clean , comfortable , very well equipped. The staff was very friendly. The owner does a very good job. Ideal place for a short stay in Catania. Not far from the center, but also not a very attractive location. But we did not face any problems.

Although it says on Booking.com there is a parking , there is no. We parked just on a public street, few corners from the location in a not very attractive environment and very narrow streets.
