Served a purpose

We paid for a king bed our room was definitely not a king bed , there was very little bread or crumpets in breakfast room

Great location

Booked king size bed due to my partner being tall for a couple night away , was given a family room with double bed so I ended up having to sleep on a bunk bed myself, when we arrived they was building the bunk beds , wasn't much floor space in the room either. The owner ensured me it was the room I booked and a lady was staying with kids after us and it was to accommodate her but it didn't match to the photos for a king room i booked, so I dont know why it had to affect us. Wasn't no one to talk to on site just cleaners and maintenance which couldn't help with any of or questions, no information or instructions was left about breakfast or check out parking etc, I rang the number but the call centre was closed. Luckily the owner was fast to reply on booking . Com but I would of preferred to speak to someone face to face I think it makes it more personal. Clean enough although there was large drill holes in the walls made that day , I didn't experience the breakfast cause wasn't sure on the time or process so we used a cafe .

The location, they put a fridge in the room, it was a warm room.

The bathroom, the toilet was dirty looked like someone had been sick in it, we complained and was told it would be cleaned, but this never happened, and communication stopped! There is back mould around the shower, no soap on the basin but used the showers gel in the shower. There was a lack of teabags and not replenished, the bin in the breakfast room was full on all days, no staff to seen on sight

Room was comfy & the area was quiet even late at night. Communication was on point.

Overall absolutely loved it. Looking forward to staying again. My husband is fussy and we usually stay in premier inns because you know what you get but we have both agreed to make this guest house our Blackpool regular. The location is perfect for a short stroll to all of the main attractions. The breakfast was simple but perfect and plenty of choices. Lots of cereal options, toast, crumpets etc… yogurts and a bit of fruit. The room was decorated lovely. Perfect for a small family travelling. We are 2 adults and 2 children and fitted nicely in room 8 family room.

Soap In the bathroom would have been nice - although we used shower gel so not a problem. Not the warmest room although it was extraordinarily windy - with winds exceeding 68mph (and the end of October) when we visited so that may have made it chillier.

Breakfast was fine for help yourself. Self check in was ok

We message a couple of days before arrival to ask a question via the website and got no reply. Asked on night of stay about the heating again no reply - I know this was out of hours but an acknowledgement the next day would of been nice. There was no heating on in the building

Window in bathroom open. Too high to close Toilet seat not on properly Shower rail, too stiff to adjust Room at frount street lamp shone through the thin curtains. Tea bags not re- filled in dinning area until morning Heating only came on in early hrs. Room was cold, with no heating on
