The location is quite good, near the station, and very quiet

From the photos the accomodation looks very smart but when you see it in person it definitely is not! Many things were not clean, were uncared for or were not provided. It claims to sleep 5 people but really only sleeps 3. The sofabed is not wide enough for 2 people and is very uncomfortable with a wide dip (which is not even in the middle). The single and double bedrooms don’t provide any kind of bedside table for a lamp, a glass of water, a phone or a book…And the double bed is jammed against the wall as the room is really only large enough for a single bed. This is not very satisfactory if someone needs to get up in the night. There is only seating in the lounge and the dining area for 4 people. The kitchen has cracks in the counter top, which is very unhygienic, scratched non-stick pans, which are dangerous, and a lot of empty drawers and cupboards…where is the breadknife for example? There were no serrated knives at all. There is a large very frosted freezer with drawers that wouldn’t shut properly and a very small fridge with only 2 shelves for 5 people! Cleanliness in the bathroom especially was lacking. There was mould in the showers and dirt under the toilet rims. One of the toilet seats was twisted and both of the toilets have seats that fall on your back when you sit down. The showers have very narrow entrances, especially the one in the double room where you have to squeeze past the radiator to get in and out. Although the double room had 2 large towels there was only one hand towel for the 2 people to share. The carpet on the stairs and the paint (especially around the bedroom windows) need attention. The iron is totally burnt and needs cleaning or replacing, as do the saucepans. Overrall I understand that Cambridge is an expensive place to stay but I consider this to be greatly overpriced for what is actually provided. The owners seem to take no pride in their property at all and obviously don’t care for it as much as they should.

Great location, very clean. 2 ensuite bedrooms. Nicely decorated, very bright apartment. Close to shops. Very safe location. Would definitely recommend staying here.
