HOSTEL Auberge NOLA

It is a welcoming and positive environment, where it is easy to feel at home and make friends. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and they immediately resolved an initial problem with the room. People travelling in this hostel are amazing and coming from all over the world, it has been nice to share some breakfast and talk with them. The facility is very simple but very welcoming, and it is in a great location.

The last few days it was a little difficult to communicate with them because, unfortunately, as one of the workers explained to me, they work shifts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but apart from that, they have an excellent interpersonal and professional approach.

Very well located and nice kitchen, bathrooms and showers.

The bunk beds were a nightmare to climb on to. I had bruises for weeks after. Also, this obviously isn’t the hostels fault but my bunk mate snored obnoxiously for 9h straight every night. I had ear plugs and everything but it didn’t help so yeah.. Be mentally prepared for that!

I immediately felt welcomed as soon as I arrived by Jarron and Fillipe - both would go above and beyond to make sure everyone was settled. The location is perfect, only a half hour walk from Downtown and a 2 minute walk to the streetcar, if you'd rather not do the walk. Hostel felt safe and all facilties were spot on. One of the most social hostels I've stayed in, I loved the idea of everyone meeting on the courtyard on evenings, to mingle with other travellers etc. I met some friends for life in the few days I spent here. Perfect place.
