Sunny Side Cottages

It’s so quiet and beautiful - but a very quick walk to downtown. It was cozy, very clean, and such a lovely space!

Vibe was chill and quiet, was able to really relax. Loved the poolside cabanas. Good location, walking distance to main downtown area. Easy check-in, free parking, shared lounge area with free coffee and pop. Each room had there own little outdoor table and chairs on the deck and the hosts left a binder of recommendations for local spots to hit.

Wish the hot tub jets were a little more powerful but was still enjoyable as is (obviously not a deal breaker at all).

(Breakfast not included.) Location was great for us to spend time with friends in the area. Location was the main positive aspect of this venue. We also liked having a duplex "cottage" with street entry vs being in a hotel.

More electric outlets were needed, especially on the other side of the bed. The one on the left side of the bed was difficult to get to. You had to pay for everything to get any programs on the TV. It seemed impossible to reach the owner directly to try and extend our stay. The toilet seat was the type without a lid, creating a risk of dropping items in it. A seat without a lid is an especially bad idea in such a small bathroom. The porch chairs looked cute, but were extremely uncomfortable to sit in. I'd recommend the owners try sitting in a chair before buying it for their property.

Confort, très bien entretenu partout (piscine, balcons, meubles etc). Proximité avec le charmant centre ville de Dunedin.

I loved the common area. It had lots of options for comfy seating and relaxation. The Keurig and included pods and mix-ins were nice, and I appreciated the mini-fridge and free canned soft drinks. The hot tub was excellent, nice and hot and the jets had real pressure. There is an extra bathroom in the common area as well and that is nice, too. The room itself was spacious and the bathroom was huge.

The bed was rough. It had seen a lot of use so it sank heavily in the center and did not have much resistance to our bodies. It creaked extraordinarily loudly, to the point I could hear my partner roll over in bed from out in the common area. It was not a particularly comfortable sleep and we both woke up sore. The air conditioning was a little weak in our room and the humidity crept in.

The bath towels are too thin and don’t dry out between uses.

We've stayed at this location before when it was a bed and breakfast. It's always clean and the grounds are well kept.

The instructions were a bit confusing as they referenced sending a PIN number and we received three different pin numbers in three different emails. It took us quite a bit of time to filter through everything and figure out the door code. We were also told that the door on the inside would be left open and it was not. Also, when reaching out and leaving a message I never received response back from the owners of this location. Lastly, the towels that they used for the rooms were extremely thin and small and cheaply made. That is the main issue I had within the room.

Room was comfortable and clean

No ice machine or freezer space to keep ice purchased from store. Pool was never cleaned. No note about space heater in case room got too cold which it did. Never any staff on duty. The walkway to the Marti Gras room was hampered by shrubbery and not good for rolling a suitcase.
