Clarence Quarters Vintage Seafront Guest House

It was so seamless. The book in service, the tips and what to do guide is amazingly thorough and informative. The room was exceptionally clean and pleasant to be in. The bed was so comfy and I loved the addition of handy supplies (tissues, makeup remover, hand soap, hair shampoo, body wash, micellar water, wipes, cotton wool pads, cotton buds.... the list goes on) The coffee making facilities in the room are brilliant, Overall it was great

I can't fault it. I knew there was not an en-suite when I booked so if I had to put in one thing that I didn't like that would be it. To be really honest, its great to find somewhere with the view, so close to the seafront that is budget friendly and if sharing a (beautifully kept) very clean bathroom is a problem then you have to be ready to spend more money.

The room was kind of oldy/worldy which I liked. The instructions of how to access the room were clear & worked well. The shared bathroom was very clean & the shower had plenty of oomph.

All of the rooms are up steep stairs so be prepared. The kitchen is right at the top. The seafront is just a few metres away but to take advantage of the 'sea view' from the room, you will need binoculars.

Carpets were threadbare. Key code system was not working properly.

It was clean , easy access and good central base

No hot water and not told of scaffolding up in front of windows

The location was great.

The noise coming from other rooms due to outdated beds, walls were paper thin, could hear next door having a full blown conversation, the bed creaked every time you move, so did everyone else’s, when I asked the host to move me rooms due to this noise from next door she refused.

Curtains in the bedroom could have been thicker.
