Stefen was a great host. We arrived on a Sunday so the public boat wasn’t running. Stefen organised pickup for us in his private boat. Great home-cooked food.

Bigger bedsheets would have been nice. We were given individual bedsheets which only just covered us.

Stephen n Missi run a tight ship. Extremely friendly, hospitable couple. Large rooms. Great location. And with Om Ece shop 10 metres away, you can buy cold beer drinks, smokes, snacks, scooter fuel etc right on your doorstep!

Only thing they could maybe improve is choice of breakfast options. It’s the same every day. Stodgy pancakes w Nutella and jam.

I had a wonderful stay at El Homestay, and I was sad when it was time to leave! It really like I was staying with family and I was well taken care of, and the food was delicious! I'd recommend to anyone looking for a homestay experience in Indonesia.

Stephen is amazing host! He will help to manage your stay in Bunaken perfectly And the food was my best food in Sulawesi!

We loved our stay here - Stefen was a great host, great location, great fresh fish & food for a reasonable price, easy scooter & snorkeling gear rental, clean rooms, it’s quiet at night, great snorkeling tour and dolphin tour -

just fyi - the AC costs extra (100.000/day, also a reasonable price), there’s a fan though

Best homestay to stay in Bunaken. Everybody is so nice and can help you with everything. Easy boat charter for snorkeling and directly by the homestay is mc bunaken for diving. The food is amazing, we ate everyday in the homestay.

Stefen is a great host! He is always trying to make your stay as pleasant as possible & doing his utmost to help you with everything. The food is amazing! I highly recommend this homestay.

The rooms are a bit basic & the water pressure is quite low - nothing a bucket shower / mandi shower can't fix. It's part of the experience, try to embrace it!

We had an unbelievable stay at Stephen's place : - Rooms are clean and comfortable. - A/C is available. Yes it costs a little extra but it's very much worth it given the island's high temperatures. - Stephen is an amazing host, nice and genuine. We highly appreciated that he wasn't trying to oversell activities. Instead, he listen to your needs and gives suggestions. - Guests can rent a scooter and snorkeling equipment for the day. - The food prepared by Missi and the rest of the family is exquisite. - El Homestay is a nice spot to meet other travelers. We were lucky to share our stay with an amazing couple of French travelers. We're already looking forward to coming back! Sebastien

The host Stefen is absolutley nice and wants the guests to have a perfect holiday. The food is very good and was always more than enough. You can go snorkeling or watch dolphines, the prices are fair. The room was clean, with shower.
