EL Homestay Bunaken

Staying with Stefen was one of the best experiences we had on our trip. If you want to be welcomed with the brightest smile on the island and be well looked after, this is the best place in Bunaken. We extended our stay twice and got to see all of the three rooms—they were big, clean and well maintained. The food (breakfast included) was very balanced, plentiful, and tailored to different dietary requirements if necessary. You can also go on various boat trips with him—unfortunately, we didn't get around to it, but if they are just half as good as the rest, they are definitely worth it! Many thanks to Stefen and his family!

The only thing I would note is that soap dispensers for the hands would be great in the bathroom.

Stefen en de familie zijn ontzettend lief en behulpzaam. Ze staan altijd voor je klaar als je wat nodig bent en als je vragen hebt. Het eten wat gemaakt en geserveerd wordt is ontzettend lekker. Groot aanbod aan tours die je kunt doen, zoals dolfijnen spotten en/of snorkelen. Bedankt voor deze fijne plek in Bunaken Stefen!!

This was truly the best homestay we’ve ever stayed at! Stefen and his family are incredibly warm and helpful. Stefen communicated wonderfully and organized everything for us to get to the island and back, which was such a big help. The place itself is fantastic, the trips Stefen offers are amazing, and one of the absolute highlights is the food! We had the most deliciously prepared fish, far beyond what we expected. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Bunaken, definitely choose EL Homestay, you will absolutely enjoy it. Thank you so much for everything!

Stefan is the best host you can possibly have - if you appreciate exceptional thoughtfulness, hospitality, caring and local knowledge. He will always take care of your needs, and help you with anything. If you are wise enough to have Stefan guide you for boat tours and to take you snorkeling, you will have the best possible time. He is patient, knows the best times to go to different places, if possible will wait for other boats to leave so you have a more personal experience with the dolphins or the turtles, etc. Stefan’s family is lovely and will make you the best meals, always respecting your dietary choices. If you are very lucky Stefan might bring out his guitar after dinner.

Nous avons passé 2 super journées à bunaken grâce à Stephen. On est très bien dans son homestay, il nous a permis d’organiser les sorties qu’on voulait. Il est très gentil et serviable. On mange très bien chez lui. Je recommande !
