Point Break Varkala

The room was very nicely decorated. The bed was very good but took up a little to much room so we felt we didn't have to much room to move. Also, since we had reserved the room 6 months earlier, we had expected to have seeview or garden view. Instead we faced the aquarium. But that said on the negative side, the two guys who were the daily management did an excellent job. They were very friendly and willing to help with anything we asked so the overall experience is really positive.

Bathroom is really outdated but fits it purpose.

Amazing location close to black beach and the main stretch of restaurants on Varkala cliff (but far enough away that it wasn’t noisy). Comfortable room. Friendly staff who helped to arrange surfing and our early morning airport transfer. Nice tasty South Indian breakfast with a beautiful view.

It felt quiet at times without many staff around. Staff offered to do laundry which was great, but we found our drying clothes lying on the floor of the roof terrace collecting muck and dust. Stray dogs were able to roam the property and could be defensive at times.

Close to beaches and places to walk. Variety of restaurants and shops close by. People were very welcoming and friendly

No fridge or hot water in the shower

Friendly staff. Good airco Nice position near the beach and almost good view (if only there was not this big round building between our house and the sea...) Nice veranda to sit outside. Nice dog resting on veranda.

Internet a bit shaky. Room smallish. Reading light a bit scarce.
