Cozy Homestay Kandy

It was the most comfortable our stay in Sri Lanka. Room with panoramic view to the Kandy from the top of the hill. The room was big, clean and light. It has the best shower system and the biggest bathroom, we met during our trip. The strong flow of hot water after all day trip and rather hard climbing to the hill is the best thing in the world :) Big bed with comfortable mattress and clean, good smelling bed sheets. Comfortable AC accommodation - you can sleep with AC turned on. Is was the only place during our stay without included breakfast, but it was not a problem as we left early morning. But you can order the breakfast for incremental price if needed. Very good and hospitable house owner. Will be glad to stay in this place longer, if return to Kandy again.

Very high to climb up to the hill with luggage. Better to catch the tuk-tuk.

Delicious breakfast, very helpful owner. Bathroom was huge, air-conditioning was working perfectly. Room had everything what we needed.

Jaye was a great host and very eager to meet all our needs. The rooms were very modern, spacious and had western standards. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was the best during our whole journey. It was really quite given the proximity to Kandy downtown.

It was a bit complicated to find and it was hard to bring the luggage down, as the way is rather steep. But that often is the case in Sri Lanka, so it is nothing unusual.

The owner/care taker was too interactive and friendly . We liked the nature outside the room. bedroom and bathroom was bigger and cleaner.

AC was not working properly. It rained in the afternoon so we felt relaxed. Bathroom shower was not working. Jet spray not working. Didn't provide water bottles , which in general every hotel provides as complementary.

Such a great accommodation with lovely and kind hosts. They welcomed us very warmly and offered tea on various times on the day, when we were sitting on the balcony. Very thoughtful! They also arranged a transfer to Sigiriya with a super nice driver for a reasonable price. The view was amazing! You can see the city and the big Buddha. Surprisingly, I saw two of the best sunsets ever there. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom had a proper shower (even with doors, so you don’t flood the whole room while showering). Breakfast in the morning was also so delicious. So if you go to Kandy, definitely stay here!

The location was quite good, although on the slight hill. Breakfast was delicious. The host was welcoming and eager to help. The rooms were clean.

We had 2 rooms but only 1 had AC.
