Cozy Homestay Kandy

The host was very nice and we felt welcome. The view is great and the location is quiet but still in walking distance to the city. The room is spacious and there is air-conditioning. Overall it was a very good value for the money

The beds were a little hard

Jaye was a nice and helpful host. I only stayed in Kandy for a short time but the homestay was great. Nice view overlooking the city but still walking distance to the center. Very clean and quiet. Would recommend!

The worst experience of the entire trip to Sri Lanka. We had booked a room, and it had been confirmed. When we arrived at the property at 8 PM, we received a message stating that the booking (despite being confirmed) had been canceled because the hotel was overbooked (mind you, we were already at the property). Overbooking can happen, but what was truly unpleasant was that the owner of the Cozy Homestay did absolutely nothing to help us find an alternative solution, showing complete indifference. Truly unacceptable behavior. Fortunately, we managed to find an available room nearby on our own and were able to get some rest. Absolutely to be avoided!

Excellent host Great views from the hostel Delicious breakfast It is a 15-20 min walk from the town so I got tuk-tuks in the evening & walked in day time

It is not accessible for anyone with mobility issues. The hostel can’t help their location but definitely worth considering that there’s a very steep slope to enter/exit

I liked the location... pretty neighbour.. friendly people..short walk down the hill to the shopping and city centre.The room was meticulously clean. and quiet for sleeping

I couldn't get hot water to work..I don't know why?

The room was clean and the bed comfortable, the bathroom was new. We did not try the breakfast because we overslept. Owner family super friendly!

We only stayed for 1 night as it was raining constantly. But this had nothing to do with the accommodation You need a ride to get to town.

The room was large, clean and bright with a lovely view over the valley. The host was always more than willing to help in any way he could. The perfect base to explore Kandy from!

A little difficult to find the property - follow the signs to Jayes Homestay if you get stuck. Also a very steep access so just beware if any accessibility issues/heavy bags etc.

Lovely hosts and good location. It’s a pretty steep hill to go down so maybe not suitable for everybody. It’s called Jaye’s homestay when you are looking for the location but it is close to the town centre. The WiFi was good too

Everything was great, it does have a cold shower but that’s been mainly the same everywhere in Sri Lanka
