Rooms Hotel Kazbegi

The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and one of them in particular had an incredible view of the mountains. Staff were helpful when we encountered minor problems, like lack of a kettle in one of the rooms.

The hotel restaurant seemed overrun by large tour groups - both at breakfast and in the evenings. This made it hard for smaller groups like ours to find suitable tables to eat at busy times. The tables not occupied by tour groups were generally low with sofas; more suitable for drinking a coffee than eating an entire meal. This was a shame as the breakfast buffet itself had a large spread of food and would have been an enjoyable experience if things were quieter. I think part of the problem could be solved if staff were proactive in seating customers at breakfast, rather than allowing everyone to choose their own seats, and/or published the "busy" breakfast times in the lift, as often happens in other large hotels. The location of the hotel is fantastic in terms of views but it is a steep walk uphill from the rest of the village; bear this in mind if you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant every evening.

חדר קטן ולא מאובזר (אין טלוויזיה). השירות במסעדה היה איטי
